We are seriously over the rainbow for this sweet, colorful, and amazingly creative “Picasso Art” Birthday Party that Brandy of Simply Creative Insanity created for her daughter! Between the happy array of vibrant colors and the oh-so-clever art-inspired details, what’s not to love?!

Paint palette placemats and cookies, layered rainbow cake push pops, “starving artist” lunch boxes, themed activities like sand art bottles and make-your-own {very colorful} lollipops, the most ridiculously cool ruffled rainbow table skirt… I could go on and on, but they say a picture is worth a thousand words, so taking you straight to the GALLERY of fabulous party images is probably even better! Here goes:

PARTY DETAILS, as told by Brandy…

“This was my daughters 4th birthday party and she loves Art!  So it was the perfect theme for her age of friends!

ACTIVITIES

The activities that we did were:  Picasso pops….make your own lollipops, sand art, and canvas painting. Each child had their own art cubby that had all of the days fun art supplies in each.  Paint, assorted paint brushes, sand art bottle, funnels, aprons…etc.

MAIN TABLE

I kept the main table design simple with a colorful striped table runner that I made.  I placed colorful buckets down the middle of the table with matching pinwheels in them.
The placemats were actually foam that I cut to look like a painters palette.  These were fun to make with my children prior to the painter….Child Labor I guess you could say…lol
At each place setting each child had their own gable boxed lunch.  Inside was a sandwich and chips.  I attached a fun label that read ‘Starving Artisit’ to each box with a paint brush for a little added touch.  Place cards were mini Easels that I found at Michael’s and add a label for their names. Mini Water bottles and pink lemonade was served.

THE SWEETS TABLE

The sweets table included this a fabulous Painters Palette Shaped Cake, Cupcakes, Painters Palette Cookies, Colorful Gumballs,Crayola Jelly Bellies, and last but not least..Rainbow Cake Push Cakes!  The push cakes were by far my favorite part of the sweets!  They were so fun to make! The table skirt was made by a fantastic family friend!  How lucky am I? Stripped paper lanterns were hung above the table.

OTHER DECOR

Rainbow Balloon wreath greeted our guests at the front door!  This was a super easy craft with big impact!  It say’s ‘Fun inside’ if you ask me! Art lettering covered in coordinating scrapbook paper adorned the food table.  Snacks included fresh rainbow of fruit platter, assorted cheeses and dips, assorted crackers, and veggies.

I had so much fun designing the printables and planning for this Artful Party.  My favorite part of the day is seeing all of the smiling faces!  Makes my day!”
