Korbel champagne

When it comes to adult holiday parties and celebration, there’s nothing that feels as quite as festive or “CHEERS!” worthy as a glass of champagne. And if you want to get creative with your champagne “toasts” this year, you’re in luck… because there are actually lots of ways to enjoy that Korbel that extend beyond the bottle, including flavored-up cocktails and creamy desserts!

So without further adieu, here are a few of our favorite ways to SIP those bubbles… and SPOON them too!

FULL RECIPES:

Braised Mixed Berry Compote

Makes about 3 cups

  • 3 Tbsp. unsalted butter
  • 1/4 Cup packed light brown sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
  • 2 Tbsp. Korbel Sweet Rose Champagne
  • 3 Cups mixed berries (3/4 lb.) such as raspberries, blackberries and blueberries.

Instructions:

Melt butter in a skillet over moderate heat.  Stir in brown sugar, lemon juice and champagne until sugar is dissolved.  Add berries and cook, tossing gently (try to keep most of them from breaking up) until berries are warm and juices begin to be released (2 or 3 minutes.)

Serve warm or at room temperature over ice cream or pound cake.
