PARTY DETAILS, as told by Carli

My daughter, Lucy, had her 1st birthday last October and I knew I wanted to go with a Sweetie Pie theme from the time she was an infant. She was the sweetest baby, however that quickly changed once she started teething! I decided to take a fall county fair spin on the Sweetie Pie theme. I loved her first birthday photo shoot, complete with a smash pie in lieu of a smash cake! Many of the colors from her first birthday photos served as inspiration for the party. I went with red, orange, pinks & straw yellows to create an unexpected fall fair color combo. We opted for simple fair food, which was easy to prepare. Our older kids loved contributing to the party, serving homemade caramel corn, cotton candy, snow cones & more. They also ran some of the fun games, which we had to move inside due to rain. I love how it all come together, especially the prize ribbon medallion backdrop.
