We’ve been having a bit of a heat wave here in San Diego, so while I’m looking forward to cooler temperatures & bringing out my fall wardrobe, I’m thinking one last afternoon in the sun will be a wonderful send-off to summer, and this Lovely Ladies’ Garden Tea Party by Lisa Lundqvist of Sockerrus is the perfect inspiration! With a lush garden venue & too-gorgeous-to-eat sweets, what an amazing way to celebrate the lovely ladies in your life. This would also make for a truly stunning tea themed baby or bridal shower!
PARTY HIGHLIGHTS to look out for:
- Pink sparkling wine served in gold decorated champagne glasses + beautiful vintage tea sets
- Powdered sugar dusted tea cookies, heart shaped tea sandwiches + chocolate dipped mini doughnuts
- Gold candy ‘sequin’ decorated cake with pink & gold sugar roses + flower topped pink cupcakes
- Hanging tissue honeycomb poms, gold painted bud vases & lovely neutral dresses on all of the guests
PARTY DETAILS as told by Lisa…
Me and Fotograf Satu wanted to make an inspirational outside Tea Party (a celebration to all of the fabulous women out there) and we wanted to fill it with fabulous sweet treats and beautiful women in different shapes and ages. All in pretty pastel colors with a touch of gold. We wanted to create a luxurious party which would be suitable for many different occasions such as mothers day, bridesmaids party, birthdays, weddings etc.
I love how the dessert table turned out and love the golden sequins I put on the cakes. It really makes the cakes so pretty. When creating the dessert table I wanted to make different types of sweets. I wanted to make both beautiful sweets and more classic tea party treats.
I am so happy how it all turned out and what make this project so special to me is that you can really feel the love and happiness through the pictures. All the models felt so beautiful and it shows. It was really a perfect day.
