Vintage Cowgirl (31 photos)
Evelynne asked for a horse just like her Pop's for her 3rd birthday. I couldn't quite pull of a real quarterhorse and with the unpredictable weather of Montana in February, there was no planning or pony ride either. Nevertheless, guests dressed up as buckaroos and wore bandanas to help us celebrate.
I found Evie's pettiskirt on Zulily. Love it! Her boots too - squeakers! The stick ponies are from Etsy - the detail and craftsmanship was over the top.
I made the ribbon cake following an excellent Youtube tutorial; it was much eaiser than one might think. The horse cakepops from Pintrest, on the other hand, were not quite so easy.
I didn't get pictures of our meal: brisket, pulled pork and the whole chuckwagon. I made cute food tags for each. I found a cute, free vintage image from an old valentine and edited in Photoshop. My inspiration was Loralee Lewis who used the same image (I think) for her cowgirl line.
I bought the straws from the TomKat Studio - love her stuff too!
