We styled a fun little birthday party for my daughter who was turning four. For the past several years she has loved watching the 1956 Oscar winning French film "The Red Balloon", so that is what we based our theme on for this party. I made a crepe cake using a recipe I had seen on the internet to tie in a French element. We also made and served a "naked" red velvet cake. White spray paint was our best friend. We spray painted a plastic horse, letters of the birthday girl's name, an old sewing table, and an Eiffel Tower. I made a tassel garland that I hung above the kid's table. For kid favors we gave our guests red bubble gum and a red bottle of bubbles. To tie in elements of the film, we printed off photos from scenes of the movie and framed them for our display tables.

We purchased paper straws and wooden forks from The Party Garden {}. The rest we made ourselves.
