My daughter loves Halloween. So, I volunteered to host a Halloween Carnival for her little preschool class. We also played classic carnival games as well as enjoyed the dessert table. A strong color palette is always my starting point when planning a party. I knew that I wanted to have black, white, orange, red and yellow as the colors - a mix of autumn and Halloween. A carnival also felt like a good theme when having a party for a children. I let my daughter help pick out the decorations - she is in love with the black crows. As far as the food, I mixed classic party food with some of my carnival favorites! I served cupcakes, brownies, butter popcorn, cotton candy (in the ice cream cups), doughnuts, and rootbeer.
