Alice in Wonderland 1st Birthday (11 photos)
For my daughters first birthday I wanted to have something girly, so I chose a tea party inspired by Alice and Wonderland the cartoon Disney movie.
Teapots: A few months before the party I started visiting local thrift stores in search of different tea pots. I was able to get around 10, having 2 on each table. I also used these as a quick photo opt with the birthday girl.
House of Cards: I bought several decks of cards which I used to create house of cards, using hot glue.
Drink Me: I went to Michaels (craft store) and purchased small glass jars, which I fillled with colored water. I then created some tags with sayings "drink me" which I tiedto hang from the jars.
Flowers: I purchased some I made some simple flour arrangements to add to the tables.
Name Tags: I created name tags out of cardstock for all the children attending
Tea Cups: I purchased some plastic cups from Smart & Final, and misc. foam stickers from the craft store. Each table had a container of the stickers and cups placed for everyone to decorate and take home.
I created take home bags for the cups with colored paper bags and iconic figures from the movie. Each one was cut out of colored cardstock.
I used white and various colored chinease laterns throught the party.
Signs: Throughout the party I scattered this way, wrong way signs made out of cardstock.
Banner: I created a Happy Birthday Banner out of carstock and printed in the Alice in Wonderland Font.
Invitation: I used Hertiage Makers and created a front and back invitation.
My sister in law made the cupcakes and cake. The cupcake tops were cutout of fondent based on characters from the movie.
