Mickey Mouse Not So Scary Halloween Party (15 photos)
The party was for a 2 year old boy whose birthday happens to fall right around Halloween. Since the parents love the holiday they wanted to tie it into the party but still have a theme that their son would love so we came up with a Mickey Mouse Not So Scary Halloween Party. This party could also be sute as just a a fun halloween party for kids.
For the dessert table the parents let me have free reign with cake design and desserts so I chose everything that would tie in Mickey and Friends with Halloween. For the cake I thought it would be cute do make each character dressed in a different costume Mickey as a mummy, Minnie the witch, Goofy as Frankenstein, and Donald as a devil. The other desserts I included were spider cupcakes, ghost meringues, chocolate covered Mickey Mouse Oreos, dirt cake shooters, Mickey Mouse sugar cookies, candy corn as witches teeth, and licorice as witches’ hair.
For the dessert table I made a wooden name plate with the birthday boy's name. Each letter was a different character and I used the colors orange, black and green to tie in the theme. I also made a Mickey Mouse mummy wreath out of styrofoam which I then wrapped in cheese cloth. For the backdrop I used a spider wed table cloth that I thought fit the decor nicely. Lastly, I made a Happy Birthday banner and colored pinwheels.
Hope you enjoy!
