I recently planned a baby shower for my beautiful friend, Jonelle. She's been my friend for 8+ years, and is the first of our friends to have a baby. I really wanted to make it special for her. She's a total girly-girl, obsessed with Hello Kitty, pink and owls, nature and the forest and really wanted to pass those loves onto her soon-to-be beautiful baby girl, Talula. So, what do you do when your friend is obsessed with two things that don't really "go"? You create your own character, of course! Welcome Hello Cutie!

The shower turned into a girly event with lots of pink and hand-made nature inspired details. I made the party decor, including the Hello Cutie burlap banner, moss "T", "sweets" sign, and even put together the centerpieces myself. I didn't get any pictures of the food, but we did comfort foods of homemade mac n'cheese, lasagna, caesar salad and rolls. For dessert, there was cake, a candy bar and cookies. As favors, my friend Jessica of Bella Cupcake made owl cake pops, inspired by the Bakerella recipe. The shower ended up being super fun, and the mama-to-be was so happy with it. Two weeks later, to the day, little Talula entered the world as a healthy, happy little girl.
