Here’s a party where monkeying around wasn’t off limits—it’s encouraged! Kate, my “curious” daughter, was turning to terrific TWO which made us all GO BANANAS!
The party was all DIY creative project. It was filled with cheerful yellow, red, brown colors with Curious George theme-inspired; Perfect for little Kate who is always curious with everything around her!

Centerpieces: A bunch of bananas (with two balloons) were perfect yet simple for centerpieces in “monkey” theme and represented the age of TWO.

Decoration: The venue was enwrapped with bold yellow paper lanterns to sunny up the ambiance. Also, the guests was wearing yellows as the dress code which made them part of the decoration!

Favors: The kids brought home favor bag with personalized name tag full of delicious goodies. Not to forget the adults were also home with bananas which were wrapped with cute red ribbon.

Kid Table: We made personalized placemats for each kid. Each cup was wrapped with black ribbon which portrayed the famous yellow hat in the Curious George movies. Also, we created a circle monkey George napkin ring for each setting.

Chalkboard: Two year has passed, and look at how much Curious Kate has grown. The chalkboard was charmingly designed with the up-to-date information about Kate, the birthday girl!

Dessert Table: It was attractive yellow-theme table with a bunch of appealing sweets for kids and adults. They were all prepared special for Curious Kate’s party theme. Beside the beautiful park as the background, we added Kate’s name in yellow made of wooden letters and felt fabric. In addition, there was a giant George the monkey visited the party which was displayed in front of the dessert table, completed with the well-known hard cover book of the adventures of Curious George!

Invitation: We made the DIY banana invitations with cardstock and felt fabric. It looked very much alike the real banana! The invitations were mailed with banana recycle-paper envelopes and Curious George labels to complete the finishing touch of the party.

The party was an absolute blast! Guests, both big and little, enjoyed visiting the various stations and awing over the desserts table. Doing a lot of creative details myself and integrating items I already had into the party allowed me to stay within budget. I had almost as much fun planning and styling this party for my little monkey as she did playing with George!
