Tinkerbell Inspired Birthday Party (40 photos)
I wanted to create a party for my daughter Chloe, with colors I have not used together before. I also wanted to select a theme where the kids could dress up and play aroiund the yard. The inspiration colors were green, lavender and gold.
We decided on a fairy (Disney Fairy Inspired party but with lots of custom details). I know I wanted to include silhouettes of Tinkerbell and I was lucky to find an Etsy shop with these paper silhouette cutouts in various sizes.
Clear jars and cans were spray painted gold for vases. Adding the green and lavender details was easy.
The kids had a blast making bracelets and necklaces, selecting their favorite Disney fairy tattoos.
Other activities included making fairy wands and coloring pictures of various Disney Fairies.
My daughter and son also hid birdie eggs all over the yard and the other girls got dressed in their fairy wings and wands and had a wonderful time hunting for these.
The grand moment was when Tinkerbell arrived. She painted the girls nails, gave face painting and read a story about pixie hollow.
She also played music and danced. The girls did the limbo and Cha Cha slide which was so much fun.
The backdrop of the dessert table with made with gold wrapping paper and gold flitter stars were added to simulate the effect of fairy dusts.
As usual, I make all my fondant decorations. I bought a plain cake with white buttercream from my local bakery and decorated with butterflies, flowers and a cake topper my daughter and I made days before the party.
The cupcakes were also from my local bakery and I decorated these with fondant fairy dresses with wings, tinkerbell slippers, flowers and butterflies
