"Masha and the Bear" is a Russian children's animated cartoon focusing on the adventures of
Masha, a Russian girl, good-natured, precocious, and slightly mischievous little girl, with a Bear, a former circus performer!

When mom Natalia got in touch with me about her daughter's second birthday party, she already knew she wanted to make Aleka's favorite cartoon the theme of her birthday party. I was really excited to work on something original for this Russian family, and to capture a little
part of Aleka's childhood into a forever memory.

Aleka's first birthday party was unique and magical too, featured on HWTM here:

Since I have a love for unique invitations, we set the mood for the party by sending out multi-fold invites in a mini mason jar filled with moss, a little wooden mushroom and little flowers. Finished off with some pretty silk ribbon and natural string tied around the
outside!

For the dessert table, we picked a variety of flavors and textures and connected everything back to the main theme. Since bears love to eat fish, we decided to serve custard-filled "taiyaki" which are fish-shaped pancakes that originate from Japan. These worked perfectly for our brunch-themed menu! We also had pretty little jars of vanilla pudding topped with fresh berries, oreo "dirt" cupcakes in mini clay pots, and raspberry piroshkis as a nod to Aleka's Russian roots.
Fondant penguin cookies absolutely delighted the little ones! They finished all of those treats off with the gorgeous 2-tier garden-themed vanilla cake and cold milk!

For the favors, we went with fresh flowers planted in colorful metal buckets adorned with printable tags. Since Natalia is very fond of flowers, mom and baby wore matching fresh flower headbands for the party and looked absolutely adorable.

And let's talk about the bunnies for a minute! We had 9 little baby bunnies comes to the party especially to be played with and pampered by little hands. This was by far the biggest highlight of the party!
