Pink Rose Christening Dessert Table (16 photos)
This dessert table was for a gorgeous baby girl's Christening day. Her parents wanted a rose theme with shades of pink along with cream and white. I envisaged a white ruffled tableskirt which would be girly with the ruffles but simple enough to really allow the shades of pink on the table to pop. My Sweet Celebration custom made the three-tier white ruffled skirt.
The backdrop included large peonie roses and a subtle grey lace to add a slight vintage feel. It was designed, along with the other table printables, by the baby's godfather (Matthew Gianoulis) to match the invitations he had also designed.
The two-tier christening cake was white chocolate mud cake on the top and jaffa mud cake on the bottom. The ruffles were flowerly and beautiful, and along with the large pink roses, were hand made by the talented Melissa Hiette from Paper and String. Melissa also made the vanilla cakepops and red velvet cake stacks which included smaller handmade fondant flowers to add to the pretty floral theme. The heart fondant cookies were made by the parents and godfather and were also given to the guests as the bonbonniere.
The remainder of the sweets which included traditional Italian cannoli, chocolate custard profiteroles dipped in white chocolate and shades of pink turkish delight and strawberry macarons were made with love by My Sweet Celebration. Then there were the lollies, plenty to choose from in different shades of pink!
The flowers, including beautiful peonie roses, babies breath and mini rose sprays were provided by the grandmother from Malplara Florist.
