Hostess With The Mostess

A friend of CLB CeLeBrations was hosting a pink flamingo retirement party for her mother and wanted some ideas.  Well, we thought cake pops would be adorable as usual, so we set out to see if we could accomplish them.  After searching the web for others who have attempted them, we didn't find any other nicely done cake pops.  We used fondant to form the body and black tube frosting to create the darker areas of the bird.  A little stiffer fondant would have made these turn out better, but for our first attempt, we thought they would definitely be cute at party.
