This Vintage Cute as a Button Celebration was the perfect theme for the mother-to-be who loves all things vintage and is a wonderful, creative seamstress.
We chose to have a brunch with ladies bringing in food. However, we did make the button cookies and the button pie pops. We placed the pie pops in vintage cases and tied button, flower, hair clips around each one for the new baby and big sister to wear. The tags for each of the food dishes was created with vintage scrapbook paper and placed in a wire ring that was inserted into an old wooden spool with ribbon and a button to decorate it.
Above the food table, we hung a button chandelier that was made from wood branches and strug loosely with buttons. Added the outdoors look that our guest of honor also adores.
The centerpieces on the tables were button bouquets made from old wooden spools of various sizes and lots of buttons, placed on a piece of scrapbook paper. At the base of the spools were little tiny spools just placed randomly to add a cute, baby look to it.
For activities at the Celebrations we do for pregnant ladies, the guests take turns washing her feet, adding flower petals to the water, and then Christi from CLB CeLeBrations gives a good foot massage to the mother-to-be. This is all done while ladies share words of encouragement, advice, and Scripture to the guest of honor. What a special time we share together as sisters and friends.
