Hostess With The Mostess

For my youngest daughter's 1st birthday I chose a Fuscia and Lime Green monkey theme! Her nickname is "Monkey" or "MoMo" as we so lovingly call her sometimes.

I loved many of the details that went into creating a wonderful party for her. I made a monkey shaped birthday cake with a flower, to be recognized as a girl, for the guests and a smaller cupcake for her to dig into. (I will post the DIY Tutorial later)

We had a cupcake stand to display a few extra treats with cupcake toppers I created, pink goody bags filled with jungle themed treats and a thank you tag I also created, water bottles with personalized labels and home made tissue paper flowers strung together on ribbon to hang from our trellice.

I also found some really great little decorations in Target's dollar aisles to place around the party; some 3 foot blow-up palm trees and monkey shaped piggy banks which I placed as centerpieces with real bananas(so cheap).
