Hostess With The Mostess

Our family was blessed to learn that two new babies were joining us both due the same day in September. Along with my sister and niece, I hosted a double baby shower using refreshing summer colors of pale lime, lemon yellow and pure white. Guest enjoyed  lemonade and ice tea served with green and yellow carnival straws, Mimosas accented with deep red strawberries were a hit as well. Our centerpieces were milk glass bowls filled with fresh lemons and limes. A burlap runner on each table helped to accentuate the creamy white milk glass as well as the burst of color the fruit provided. At each place setting was a small Ball canning jar filled with lime, lemon and vanilla salt water taffy in keeping  with our summer theme. Each jar had a kraft paper thank you tag accented with a lime swarovski crystal. Our dessert table featured a chocolate cake frosted in pure white frosting in a ruffle design, cupcakes topped with yellow or green white chocolate ducklings and flowers and french macarons under a tall glass dome.  Green and yellow pennants marked each girl's gift table and baby pictures of the new parents were scattered throughout the party room.

All in all it was a beautiful summer shower.
