Hostess With The Mostess

My sister-in-law is pregnant with twins, and on our recent trip to Texas I had the pleasure of helping with her baby shower.  The event was truly a family affair, not only because everyone pitched in to help, but also because it was a family shower (as opposed to a traditional all female affair).  Since this wasn’t a traditional baby shower we decided to go with something other than pastel pink and white for the color scheme.  We choose one of my sister-in-law’s favorite colors, aqua, and mixed in various shades of pink.  (You can’t have a shower for someone expecting twin girls and not have at least some pink.)  My brother-in-law is active in the local Republican party, so I also thought it would be cute to incorporate baby elephants into the theme.  Elephants seem to be popping up everywhere these days, so why not follow the trend?
