Hostess With The Mostess

I am the pastry chef at Crema Cafe in Cambridge, MA.  To celebrate the launch of our new events catering line, we threw a party with four different themed sweet tables.  This was a baby shower table that we made for a friend of the owners'.

We used a string of hand made bibs for the backdrop.  A beautiful flower arrangement from Brattle Square Florist was placed in stacked upcycled produce crates.  We made all pastries and candy in house.  The focal point of the table was a hummingbird layer cake with spirals of cream cheese frosting.  We had favor bags containing rose and lavender lollipops (also displayed in a moss lined lollipop garden). 

Other desserts included mini croissants (traditional, chocolate, almond, spinach, ham & cheese, and cherry almond rolls), heart shaped sugar cookies, raspberry marshmallows, and mini granola bar triangles with pistachios, dried cranberries, and pepitas.
