Hostess With The Mostess

We gave my son a Madd Hatter themed tea party at a coffee shop, costumes were optional. Although a "tea party" is usually themed towards girls, my son loves to go to a local coffehouse, so we went the wacky route. We set up the tables so that it would resemble the long tea table from the movie. We made edible tea cups out of ice cream cones, cookies, chocolate, & gummie rings to hold ice cream for the guest. The activity for the kids was to decorate cookies with icing & candies and they got to take that home. Our game was pin the hat on the hatter...foam hat cut outs & a framed poster of the Madd Hatter (Johnny Depp), played just like pin the tail on the donkey. All the kids had fun & the adults too.
