Hostess With The Mostess

I had the great joy of creating a gnome themed birthday party for my friend's daughter.  I used to love Wil Huygen's classic Gnomes book when I was a kid, and happily, little Nina liked my idea!

When I think gnomes I think of miniature things, and I wanted everything at the party to be on a small scale.  Miniature desserts, a miniature dessert table on the cake(!), a kid-sized table, large balloons to make the kids feel even tinier, etc.  

Favors included a copy of Wil Huygen's classic book, a gnome hat with detachable flower hair clip, a headband, an adorable gnome outfit, gnome beards, and toadstool colored pencils.  I love small parties--you can do so many special things for the kids on a small budget!

Activities included a gnome ring toss game, coloring, and  free play.
