Party Details:
The inspiration for this party came directly from the mama-to-be! During one of our inital talks, she said that she would love to pick up photography as a hobby. With a baby coming, it was even more important to the mama-to-be to capture all of her little one's first moments. I knew that a photography themed baby shower would be perfect. With beautiful shades of green and blue and polkadots too, this whimsical "Oh Snap" baby shower brought a picture perfect smile to the mama-to-be!

Welcome Table:
It was really fun creating an nontraditional guest book for this event. I love it when guests can include their own personal message and in this case advice for the mama-to-be! Polaroid picture frames were cut out of card stock and signed with a silver marker. It was so cute reading the guests advice, my favorite being "Daddy does it differently and that's okay". Must make a mental note to remember that one for myself! The welcome table had a few simple bunches of calla lilies and yarn balls with paper mustaches. I was so inspired by the HWTM yarn ball tutorial that I had to try them! So easy and defiantly add a touch of cuteness.

Transforming a family-style itlaian restaurant into a whimsical picture perfect baby shower was a fun challenge. I really wanted to make the traditionally dark space feel light and airy. White linens, crushed taffeta chair sashes and polka-dot bunting came together beautifully. The center tables had adorable over sized polka-dot balloons (from our favorite Shop Sweet Lulu). As a huge fan of over sized balloons, I have to say you haven't seen balloons until you have seen these polka-dot balloons!  Each table included a trio of ribbon trimmed mason jars with white flowers & limes. The best part about these flowers is the D.I.Y. factor! They not only look beautiful but the limes gave the party a "fresh" feeling. My favorite and final touch was the photo props at each place setting! Paper mustaches on swirl straws gave guests the chance to create their own picture perfect pose along with "Oh Baby" and "Oh Snap" bubble signs.  The mustache props were attached to a pale blue napkin and topped with a paper cut camera. The camera design is from Amy Tangerine (I am such a huge fan of her scrap booking line).

Dessert & Candy Bar:
"Oh Snap", now that's a sweets table! A simple polka-dot B-A-B-Y banner was hung above a bright and delicious lime green and blue sweets display! Sour strings, iridescent blue gumballs, lime green sixlets and yummy cookies n' cream kisses were just some of the many kinds of candy displayed. Check out the camera and mustache cookies! Debbie (at Yummy Delicious Cookies) created these adorable cookies and were the hit of the party! Finally, what table full of sweets is complete without cake pops? These red velvet cupcake cake pops were so fun and easy to make (especially with the help of a cupcake shaped cake pop mold

Cake & Chocolate Favor Table:
The cake was created by the fabulous Joli Kobe bakery. A strawberry shortcake cake with a swiss butter cream frosting is the mama-to-be's favorite! The simply adorable cupcake topper (and polka-dot bunting) created by Two Sugar Babies "made" the cake. Charynn (from Two Sugar Babies) is a genius and the baby holding the little camera was perfection!

The chocolate favor display, from Patchi Chocolates, were flown in especially for this event! Each chocolate was hand wrapped and decorated. Aren't they cute.
