I created this dessert bar for my 16 year old daughter's Orchesis dance group. Every month the dance group hasan outing and this month my daughter volunteered to be the host! The girls are all dancers and are very girly so i wanted someting feminine yet modern and fun without being too young. Our color inspiration was from a roll of pink and green argyle gift wrap i had in my closet. By adding the brown by using the chocolate it gave it a touch of decanencd and glamour!
I made all the treats with the exception of the meringues, cookies and rock candy.
The cake pops were deleicious with vanilla cake and pink icing infused with a touch of peppermint .
The pretzels were dipped in white chocolate and rolled with crushed heath bars and dark chocolate drizzeled with pink icinig
The cupcakes were yellow cake with dark fudge icing sprinkled with chocolate and vanilla sprinkles
The torte was three layers two strawberry and one yellow cake and the icing was infused with a touch of lime extract. I added a fabric flower pin for the finishing touch!
The marshmellows were strawberry flavored dipped in dark chocolate
The strawberry and chocolate milk shakes were served in champagne flutes to give it a more grown up glam feel, the girls loved them!
the popcorn both regular and carmel corn was displayed in cones made from scrapbook paper then
I used a three tier bevereage dispenser to tie in the beverages with the color scheme , Root beer, pink lemonade and green kiwi fruit punch
I wrapped two pieces of styrafoam with the gift wrap paper to place silverware on also giving some color to my dark wood table.
Food lables were made on on my computer using the pink, green and brown color scheme
