Noah's First Birthday (9 photos)
My Noah is a little clown, always finding ways to make you smile. So of course I decided on a circus Theme for his First birthday.
Invitations: We sent out Tickets for Cirque du Birthday. It read: Hernandez Family Circus is coming to town. Step Right up for the Fun Noah is turning one. Ladies and Gentlemen, Children of all ages come and see the amazing Noah as he turns a year old. He will perform his wobbly balancing act and jaw dropping stunts, Watch as he attempts to blow out his first death defying candle. Appearing one day only (Date) Showtime starts at (Time) Under the big top (Location) Don’t Clown around and make your ring side reservations today! RSVP to the Ringmaster (me)
Decorations: Popcorn and Cotton Candy was a must! The Outside of the house was decorated in Pennant banners and Giant Red balloons. We Transformed the TV room into a big to tent by draping a roll of red and white table cloth from the center of the room to the ends, alternating the colors. The Dining room was turned into a Candy buffet. I personalized white lunch bags that said "Thank you for making my party so Sweet" I made Ringmaster Mustaches and also bought clown Noses and each Child got a trick Flower that squirted water. Living room was filled with red and white balloons and had circus music playing, or Cirque Du Soleil playing on the TV.
Food: We made an old entertainment center into a concession stand for snacks. This was defiantly a junk food menu: We served easy finger foods Hot Dogs, Corn Dogs, Pizza, Wings, Nachos and other finger foods. Drinks were served with Red & White paper straws.
My sons smash cake was a little circus tent with a little clown head peeking out. We also had a 2 layer cake with his name and a pennant flag topper.
Entertainment: We had a Clown with that made Balloon Characters, Face painting and a magic show. Time did not permit because we having so much fun but we also had intended to do a photo booth, and a ring of fire toss ( a hula hoop with flames made of construction paper that went all around the hoop, and a few of Noah's stuffed tigers to toss through the hoop) :( oh well maybe next time.
Kids of all ages (and Adults too) had a great time :)
