I based this adorable party on the Pinkalicious books that my daughter loves so much. I made a pink tulle tableskirt, and used lots of doilies to decorate in the style of the book. Guests drank pink lemonade, cream soda, or visited the "make your own shirley temple" bar. We had lots of sweet treats including a wonderful cake made by my sister. We made a cupcake ornament for our craft (perfect for our pre christmas party date) and listened as the older girls took turns reading the story of Pinkalicious. Lunch was served in Cupcake baking trays and consisted of pink and green foods (watermelon, strawberries, celery, green apple slices, and sandwiches). We set up a little photo area with a basket of pink props, the funny pink wig was definitely the most popular item. Each guest was given a cupcake ornament to take home ( I was so happy to find some that matched the ones in the book) and filled a bag from the candy display. We played a soundtrack of songs that referenced the color pink - my favorite was Pink City by the ditty bops. You can find more details and info on this party at my blog www.pictureperfectpartyco.com
