Hostess With The Mostess

It was a delight to plan and craft this baby shower in honor to my best friend's sister, who is expecting a sweet baby girl named Eva, next month. The theme was Birds and Flowers with a pink and white ginham pattern.

For a REALLY budget-friendly party (less than US$ 200 including venue and rentals), I have chosen an all paper decoration: Doillie Banner, paper lanterns decorated with paper ribbons, the centerpieces: cupcake paper liners topiaries, and even the favors: pink ginham tissue hankershiefs packs decorated with paper roses and doillies in a party ginham paper cup. 

Each guest was asked in the invitation to bring their favorite (as a child) savory or sweet plate and beverage and to be prepared to show and tell, this kept the food budget very low and gave a nostalgic and intimate atmosphere to the soiree.
