Every year my kids look forward to March 2nd- the official Read Across America day. They get to stay in there pajama’s, bring a toy to school, and have parents stop by to read to them. Kindergarten has a great tradition of serving a Seussical breakfast, complete with green eggs…
To celebrate, my friend Becky and I planned a fun table complete with huge truffula trees.
We covered large balls with polyfill and then spray painted them. The trunks were yellow duct tape covering pipe insulation.
Becky made a fabulous bunting with very old Dr Seuss books, she used the leftover pages to create pinwheels
I used my favorite stripey paper straws, and topped them with a puff of cotton candy for mini truffula trees
Adding a touch of blue food gel will give you green eggs! I was surprised how much the kids loved them, most came back for seconds. We completed the buffet with ham, fresh fruit and muffins.
