I absolutely love the decorating opportunities that Easter brings. I think what I love most is that introduction of COLOR back into our decor after those long winter months. This year, I decided to go BOLD with my Easter decor. Pastels are gorgeous, but I needed LOTS of color to beat the dreary weather here in the Midwest. I started with teal and yellow patterned plates from Meijer (so budget friendly) and built everything else around those. I ran a yellow seersucker table runner down the center of the table and used the yellow seersucker throughout to tie it all together. The napkins were seersucker as well as the cupcake wrappers and cupcake toppers. Each guest's seat was identified by a hollowed-out egg with their names written on it. The yellow florals were the highlight of the whole table, though. They were gorgeous up against the teal plates and really brought the brightness that I was going for to the entire scene. I couldn't wait for outdoor dining... it's my favorite! As for menu, I served French Toast Casserole, pineapples, strawberry kiwi champagne and a mini strawberry cream cupcake.
