A few weeks ago I had the pleasure of designing, planning and coordinating a lovely bridal shower for my client’s only sister. When we began discussing the shower my client described her sister’s wedding and how it will designed around a travel theme. She wanted the shower to “match” the wedding but not take away or replicate what was happening in the wedding. So after thought, I came up with the theme, Love on Top a “Vintage Hot Air Balloon” bridal shower. I used Hot Air Balloon figurines, vintage luggage and loads of baby's breath!
For the welcome table, we highlighted the boarding pass invitation in a gold frame and brought in a globe and vintage inspired luggage. For the florals, I wanted to go with something light and airy, so I chose an abundance of gypsophila or better known as “babys breath”. So many people shy away from baby’s breath and think of it only as filler flowers but when used in abundance, it can be quite beautiful.
