Olivia's 2nd Birthday Princess Party (12 photos)
This Gorgeous Princess Party for Olivia's 2nd birthday is every bit as precious as she is! And with her very own fairy princess castle how couldn't it be, right?
It started off with Olivia's favourite thing at the moment, Lights! yes Lights, how am I going to incorporate lights into a birthday cake? This is when i started to think. a Christmas tree theme? no.... a castle? mmmm.... a princess castle,..... with lights!
I found a 'Castle for a Princess' Cake Recipe from Women's Weekly 'More Cakes for kids,' that I altered to house the battery operated tea Lights. I stacked cones on top of each other and cut out tiny windows for the lights to shine through. I used a sharp blade instead of a knife to cut out the windows as this created a smoother finish.
Light, hot pink and green were used throughout every detail of the party, from the invitations, to the decor and finally to the decorations.
Double sided fabric bunting was created by Mona-D Baby to decotate the walls alondside theme coloured ballons and pom poms.
All printables, Princess castles, Fairy wands and invitations were created using the 'Once upon a princess' Cricut cartridge. Little crowns with the number '2' were attached to each childrens chair.
Crepe and tissue paper Pom Poms were made that hung above the childrens table creating a fairytale wonderland for all.
Fairy bread, Cake pops, cup cakes and lollies were all found on the desserts table. a jumping castle, trampoline and Pass the parcel or what I call Parcel Parcel were played at the party.
Each child left with a goodies bag fit for a Queen or King.
This Princess party was as precious as my baby. Happy 2nd Birthday Beautiful girl. We love you to the moon and back times infinity and beyond. Kisses.
