We chose the theme "Keep Calm and Carry On". The graduate (Alexis) is leaving home for college for the first time. I chose this theme because Alexis has an appreciation for vintage decor. The theme also meant a lot to the family who were grieving the loss of Alexis' grandmother. We chose a classic color pallet of black and cream. Crown accents highlighted the party and the patterns that were used were damask, stripes and polka dots which were all tea stained to give the fabrics a vintage feel. As guest arrived they were escorted via golf cart on to the clients property. A sign-in table with a personalized greeting were set up as guest entered the front door. The dessert table featured a personalized burlap backdrop with the graduate's inital, name and graduating class. The centerpiece was a wrought iron crown sitting on a bed of fresh red roses. An assortment of chocolate covered strawberries, mini cheesecakes, chocolates and a three tier damask and stripe cake of red velvet and white cake were presented on the dessert tables. Since Alexis is a golfer and recieved a scholarship to college, there were framed posters of her playing golf on display throughout the party. As a keepsake for the graduate, guest were encouraged to write "words of wisdom and advise" in a personalized journal for Alexis to take with her to college. A simple but elegant buffet was set up in the center of the clients dining room. Guest were served lemonade and sweet tea by the wait staff but one of two self serve beverage stations were set up on the family's Veranda as well. For favors, guest were given canvas bags with the "Keep Calm and Carry On" theme to take home Hershey's "Hugs and Kisses" from Alexis.
