This party was inspired by my husband who is a pilot. We had it at the amazing Frontiers of Flight Museum in Dallas, Texas.

I used 3 vintage suitcases, one I found at Goodwill for 3.99 (the yellow one) and the 2 black ones are from a great great grandmother. I bought a big map for on the wall  which went perfect with the cloud background! During the flight we served cuban sandwiches, PB & J's and Turkey and Swiss. I had assorted bags of chips, and drinks called Jet Fuel as well as "In Flight Peanuts", herb cucumber bites, Captains Cupcakes and Sky is the Limit Cotton candy (made of blue cotton candy and marshmallows (smores squares I cute with my flower cutter) to look like clouds.

I made all the kids a passport that had different airplanes to colors and a little Log Journal so they could in the future write where they wanted to go or have been. I brought my husbands head phones and bought a big airplane to display in center of table. I brought other airplanes we had to decorate as well.

I made a Baggage Claim sign for where the goodie luggage bags were displayed- which I made from small bakery boxes. I just turned it inside out and cut the the end to make the handles. The goodie baggage had a parachute man, whirly helicopter, crayons, Airplane sucker- bought from Oriental Trading Company and Aviator glasses. I also made the sandwich stands from a long plastic fluted cup from Party city and a plastic plate from the dollar store.I stuck them together using silicone. The other cake stand was from Hobby Lobby a long time ago I got 75% off in the Halloween section- I just spray painted it yellow!

The kids played in the museums kid area that had a bounce house- mini airplane to climb in and control tower, little theater and when they kids were done I stamped their passport with a compass stamp.Polka dot Balloons were from Party City and other balloons from Tom Thumb. The peanut trays are from one of my favorite online shop- Shopsweetlulu.com. Plates and napkins are from Wally's Party Factory. Food Labels, passports and luggage bags I handmade!  Invitations are on my shop on etsy!
