Hostess With The Mostess

So at this point it's pretty accurate to say that my son is obsessed with Woody from Toy Story. With that said there was only way to go for his 3rd birthday party, Cowboy themed! I kept it pretty simple. The boys all had cowboy hats and bandanas that I ordered from Oriental Trading. Thier goody bags came from Michael's which I was super excited to find in paisley and cow print to match the theme parfectly. They were filled with western style toys from Dollar General which included horses, cap guns, bandit masks for some, and badges for others. For entertainment the kids panned for gold in a small pool filled with water, sand, and "gold" (little pebbles I spray painted gold). I tried to keep the menu country style serving barbequed chicken, potato salad, corn on the cob and corn bread all with some lemonade in mason jars to wash it down. All of the food was served in pie tins to keep with the country feel. In the end it was a sucess even after a little rain. He really enjoyed it.
