I decorated this baby shower for a friend of a friend. It is the first event I have documented as I have decided I really enjoy decorating and party planning. The mom-to-be is decorating her nursery with vintage blue and black so I decided to do a spin off of it with a nautical beachy theme.
This baby shower was done on a very reasonable budget, as mostly everything was hand made. Including food, drinks, dessert and decor I spent less than $200. I think that's awesome! The venue was free and absolutely perfect since it already had beachy feel to it.
My favorite parts of the decor was the banner which I made with paper bags and vintage black and white paper. It was held together on twine with black paper clips. No glue neccessary! I also enjoyed making all the cupcake toppers and paper boat cake topper- I thought it worked so well with the nautical theme without over doing it. Details such as the message in a bottle (where guests could write their advice for mom-to-be) and white mint lifesavers tied to the silverware were a hit with the guests!
Mom-to-be definitely enjoyed her nautical themed shower and I had a lot of fun decorating it! I hope you all enjoyed the pictures as well!
