Hostess With The Mostess

My niece's room has a subtle theme of birds and vintage bird cages, so I knew I wanted the theme of the baby shower to have the same subtle feel. A light pink bird cage, and clothes line hanging some cute baby clothes were the focal points of our display. The glass jars and light pink tea pot, along with mercury & white glass vases for the flowers rounded out the vintage theme for this wonderful brunch. It turned out beautifully and with the help of my mother, sister, and her friend we were able to make the baby shower brunch perfect for my sister!

The cake was a Cinnamon Swirl "Baby Cakes" from Nothing Bundt Cakes. Little individual bundlets from Nothing Bundt Cakes in Lemon, Red Velvet, Cinnamon Swirl, and Marble were the favors for the guests.

DIY projects - The cupcake toppers made with shimmery cream and pink paper and paper punches will be sold on etsy. The food labels were made using two kinds of paper and some patterned scissors. The napkins and silverware were individually wrapped and tied with ribbon. The diaper cake was made with size 2 diapers rolled up, a sheer brown ribbon with a light pink ribbon overlay, and a bottle of Domaine Chandon Sparkling Wine in the center for my sister and brother-in-law to enjoy after my niece is born! The diaper cake was topped with a pair of cute pink boots. All the flower arrangements were DIY which included pink gerberas and hydrangeas in the bird cage, tea pot and white single stem vases on the buffet tables. There were white hydrangeas with pink peonies in a total of 6 glass jars (2 per table) where our guests enjoyed brunch, and one larger centerpiece in a mercury vase with white hydrangeas and blush peonies.
