Hostess With The Mostess

Party Details:

Our inspiration was an "UP" movie influenced children's birthday party.  We were mostly inspired by vintage details from the first 15 minutes of the movie.  The props that were used, most of them were DIY projects, were on the vintage side.  From globes to grape soda "Ellie badge", this shoot was filled with cute details!!  The invitations mimicked Carl and Ellie's airline tickets to Paradise Falls from the movie.  The tablescape was quite simple.  Each child had a personalized white mailbox decorated with handprints, which contained a map to Paradise Falls and a chocolate candy bar just in case they see Kevin, the Snipe.  The dessert table was just as colorful as the movie.  There were red velvet and strawberry cake pops decorated like globes, homemade cherry pie in-a-jar, candy sticks, chocolate "Snipe" cookies, Crush soda, rainbow and strawberry shortcake push pops, confetti cake, cupcakes topped with plastic balloons and frosted to look like the balloons were floating on clouds, and French macarons replicating balloons floating above a miniature house similar to Carl and Ellie's house.

This shoot was made possible by four amazing vendors:  Stephannie Gabaldon of Stephy G. Photography, invitation suite and signage by Trish Barrameda of Intrishting Creations, cake pops and cupcakes by Honeyleen Gonzales of Sweets By Honey, and event design by Majell del Castillo Events.

It was a dream shoot for all involved.  A special thanks to our own little kiddos...Justin, Taylor, Carter, Ava, and Anika for being the cutest models ever.
