What better way to welcome summertime, then with a hoedown for cowboys and cowgirls of all ages. This wild west family celebration was hosted at the family's a ridding ring and featured carnival games, cowboy bounce house, and petting zoo. Upon arrival, guests were greeted by a handmade "Howdy" sign and bucket of bandannas and straw cowboy hats. As they walked down the balloon filled stairs into the riding ring, they heard the sweet sounds of country's greatest hits amplified through the speakers. Guests enjoyed an array of carnival games; cue ball, inflatable darts, tabletop bowling, crazy driver, and bean bag toss. There weren't loins and tigers and bears, but there were bunnies, pigs, ducks, goats, chickens, and guinea pigs in the petting zoo. While the petting zoo was a hit with the kids, the delicious margarita on tap were a hit for the adults. Beer, wine, lemonade, and wide variety of juice boxes were also available at the self service bars. On the menu was barbecue chicken and hot dogs, organic greens salad, homemade cornbread, potato salad, baked beans, warm rhubarb pie and Sibby's Cupcakes. The finger lickin' good dinner was enjoyed on 8' tables featuring red gingham tablecloths with planted succulents in legumes. The children's tablescapes were tin buckets filled with toy ponies. Party favors and children's table decor was purchased from Oriental Trading Magazine, paper supplies and vases from Michael's Crafts, and succulents from OSH.
