Hostess With The Mostess

When my cousin finally agreed to let my mother and I hostess her bridal shower we were ecstatic!  I knew pink was her favorite color and it was also incorporated into her wedding… so we were off from there.  Since pink was our main focus, but we didn’t want the party to look childish we added  touches of white and silver.  I instantly started looking for inspiration and found the idea for the gift table on Pinterest!  A tulle table skirt!  YES…. I got right to work and gathered the tulle and then machine stitched a wide grosgrain ribbon around the top in order to tie it to the table.  It turned out perfectly!  We only used white serving plates on the table so the food was the focus.  We named all of our different dishes and drinks with bridal themes in mind (Sexy Sangria, Lovebird Lemonade, Taking the Plunge Veggies & Dip, Luscious Rose Cake, Romantic Raspberry Cupcakes, etc)   We built a photo op wall that we then painted pink (of course) to ensure we were able to get tons of great pictures of all the guests.  All in all it was a wonderful afternoon to celebrate a beautiful bride-to-be.
