Hostess With The Mostess

Summer days will surly entice little party goers with some yummy treats and a summer drink. We chose to set the stage in a nearby park and used a soft pallete of pink, yellow and a touch of green. A picnic style pink an dwhite plaid fabric simply draped on the table and pom poms strung from the tree was just the right touch for this sweets table consisting mostly of baked goods. A lemon cake adorned with fondant lemons created by Edible Details, tasty cake pops by KCreative, and store bought cupcakes with coordinated fondant toppers and of course a few candy accents (gumballs and rock candy) were all the kids needed to accompany their tasty lemonade drinks. Yellow and white striped bags were placed in a rustic cheese crate on the table for the treats that were to be taken home.

Our lemonade stand would not have been complete without a great "SALE" sign. This homemade sign resting up against a nearby tree got the attention of many passerby. A antique chair had these custom colored mason jars from Camlie Inc. sitting on it with coordinating striped straws and flags. what a fun treat it was to select the different colored jar to dfrink from!

Of course our little hostess had to have the perfect outfit to host her playdate. A darling apron skirt from Sweet Thread Clothing Co. and a tank from Old Navy did the trick . . .almost. What we have learned about having a 3 year old is they have their own opinions and this one loves jewelry and hairbands! So a fabulous necklace from The Sweet Crush and headband from Birdie Baby Boutique was just what our entrepreneur needed!

Bringing pieces from our home such as an old picture frame, baskets, chairs and flowers from our garden made this a very sweet, comfortable and personal atmosphere for our guests. Our printable party decorations truly complimented the feel of a rustic, preppy, girly lemonade stand party from the invitations to the party hats, straw flags and cupcake toppers.
