Kayden's first birthday party theme was inspired by her favorite movie, Winnie the Pooh. I first designed the invitaions to set the theme of the party. I was inspired by one of the scene from the movie and used it for the graphics. A 100 acre wood map to the party was also created to match the theme.
Creating the dessert table was my absolute favorite. I bought most of the props from Michaels and designed all the labels, tags and cupcake toppers. I contacted Bella and Ava Sweets Boutique to create the cakes and the mini cupcakes for our party. I knew I wanted to have two seperate cakes, one that featured Winnie the Pooh and the other with a bee design to tie in with the homemade bee pinata we created. Bella and Ava did such an amazing job and was able to create my vision and more. Each characters were highlighted throughout the party. A paper folded carrots were filled with sour candy balls for Rabbit's Garden. I bought an orange colored whirly lollipops online for Tiggers dessert section. We also featured strawberry mini cupcakes by piglet, chocolate mini cupcakes by owl and red velvet from the birthday girl.
Two kid's craft tables were setup for our little guests. One table was setup for kanga and roo's coloring station dressed with a red gingham table cloth. I filled the table with Winie the Pooh coloring and activity books, crayons and markers for the kids and kids at heart. We also had an Eeyore section for the kids to design eeyore's new tail. A photo booth props were also featured on the party which were a hit with everyone.
I had so much fun designing this for my daughter's first birthday and can't wait to start planning for the next party. Enjoy!
