Winnie the Pooh is a very popular baby shower theme........so I felt the need to put a unique twist on it for the Mama to bee. I used the Hundred Acre woods as a theme for the shower and from there collected any woodland elements that related to pooh. Of course I had to use pages from winnie the pooh's books to decorate with...they were inexpensive and I painted them with coffee to give them a vintage look. I found moss covered rabbits and ceramic owls to symbolize the characters in the book. I used popular winnie the pooh quotes which I printed on scrapbook paper and framed them...those brought heartwarming tears to everyone that read them. The bags and tags that were stamped with classic pooh stamps I purchased on ebay. Honey sticks were a given to put on the place setting, since pooh loves honey. I made signs for the chair of the guest of honor, but I couldnt decide on which one I liked better so I used both: "Mama to Bee"- on the chair for opening gifts, and "There's a rumbly in her tummy" -for her chair at the table. For the vases on each table, I used pussy willows (because its woodland), pink carnations (for a pop of color), and white and green mums. The mother of the mama to bee, had winnie the pooh themed bingo and scratch cards for the activities. She also ordered Beehive candles for the favors. I really enjoyed putting this shower together. The greatest gift I could ever get is watching everyone take in all the details of my parties and enjoy themselves. Thanks to many for all the wonderful complements!
