Super Zane's 5th Birthday Bash was held July 21st, 2012 at Sky High Sports in Costa Mesa, California. (http://ocy.jumpskyhigh.com/) This venue is a Trampoline Park, but in keeping with the superhero vibe, we referred to it as our *headquarters* and *training center*

We worked with The Paper Cupcake for all the customized decorating touches - including a *Save the Day* (or shall we say, Date) and the formal invitation.  I am a publicist who does a lot of writing each day, so I crafted the copy.

We made the *city* ourselves out of cardboard boxes, black paint and construction paper. After purchasing Ring Pops and Lime Rock Sugar, we repackaged them in cellophane and ribbons while renaming them *Ray Rings* and *Kryptonite*.

Our superhero themed cookies that we entitled *Crunch Cookies* were purchased on Etsy (http://www.etsy.com/listing/100551404/super-hero-mini-sugar-cookie-bites-2) - as were our *Pow* Pops made of chocolate and featuring Batman, Spiderman and Superman logos (http://www.etsy.com/listing/96874861/12-superhero-chocolate-lollipops-batman)

Each child received a gift bag with superhero themed items from Party City, as well as *Bash Buttons* from Etsy (http://www.etsy.com/listing/71801115/15-assorted-super-hero-flat-back-buttons).

To make this an event the kids would remember, we purchased capes for them to keep and play with at home.  The Capes were found on Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/41301_41303-Superhero-Favor-Dressup-Costume/dp/B001N337N0/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1343345154&sr=8-1&keywords=superhero+capes+lot+of+4)  The items that came in the bags from Amazon were removed and they were donated.

The Birthday Boy wore a custom shirt from Etsy (http://www.etsy.com/listing/77402053/boom-pow-comic-shirt-boys-personalized)

I wore a custom headband from Etsy (http://www.etsy.com/listing/62521403/kapow-headband-cartoon-style-turquoise)

And his Dad wore a Captain America shirt from Target
