All of our Guests thought the cake was part of the decor. They didn't think it was actually a cake! It blended in Beautifully. Cake by: www.thecakemamas.com

I put this party together for my son Tyler who absolutely loves animals,- this was a bit of a challenge in the beginning, but who's not up for a challenge? It took me about 1 year to plan ahead and buy props & decor, being a stay at home mommy, time was not always something I had a lot of, especially with a 2 year old! I always like to think out of the box, I wanted something different and unique, but yet something my son could relate to. I started to look for clowns, clowns I have never really been fond of since a little girl, however after a little research I came across a few that were definately friendly cute, and unique for my decor. What's a party without the touch of a Wonderful Nana? Without her touch I wouldn't of been able to create the enlcosed look I had in mind. She created all of my multi- color hanging backdrops along with the life size animal's sashes (just like the animals wear in the circus). Watching Circus Movies definately inspired me as to detail and including items that I wouldn't normally think of associating a circus with. (Such as Disney's Dumbo/ & Water for Elephants) I also made sure I created a CD soundtrack to try to create that enviorment. I added both Circus and Carnival Music. The concession carts were almost a necessity for this party. What would a Circus Carnival Party be without Hot dogs, Cotton Candy, Popcorn and Snow cones?.. Especially on a hot day. Having a friendly clown and Face painter were also a necessity, especially with so many kids, that definately helped me out so much keeping them entertained. The Carnival Game area, was plenty to do as well. We had a fun of variety of games, which included duck pond, bean bag toss game, duck shoot, milk jug throw, coke crate ring toss, balloon darts, fish bowl game and of course the photobooth & Carnival face cut out had to be included for more fun & activities. All the guests were really excited and said that I had created that feel like they were really at the Circus! Somehow at the end everything turned out great, and tummies left full and satisfied. I always could of used more time to set up and really focus on the smaller details. With all that was incorporated into his birthday party, I really don't know how I can top this one next year.... I think a Circus Carnival birthday party is perfect for for any little boy or little girl, because there is so much for all the guests to participate in, great games, Magic shows to watch, getting your face painted and eating simple foods that bring back great memories of when you were young and went to the circus! Thank you for letting me share our party with you!
