Hostess With The Mostess

The Little Gentleman Baby Shower I hosted last fall was such a fun theme (and a big success!) that I decided to give it a spring makeover! The royal blue and orange color scheme I used on all the printables really pops against the bright white tablecloth and tissue decorations giving the whole party a preppy nautical look.

  I purchased these tissue decorations from The TomKat Studio but if you're crafty (and have the time!) they're pretty easy to make at home. My royal blue table runner adds a splash of coordinating color to the dessert table. Table runners are my new absolute essential for making a pretty party table! You won't believe the difference it makes! 

  I love making simple treats to coordinate with my parties. This time I made cake pops using paper straws for sticks! (Unbelievably simple tutorial of how to make these cake pops coming soon- I promise!) Some tasty chocolate dipped marshmallows were dressed up with straw flags from the printable collection I created and of course I had to include my homemade cupcakes! A simple, but elegant, chocolate cake sits in the center of the table and the look is complete!
