Hostess With The Mostess

It is a tradition in Javanese culture that when a baby reached 7 months, the parents held a ceremony called Tedak Siten (which means Stepping foot on Earth). The steps of the ritual usually begins with guiding the kid to walk on 7 different colors of delicacy, then to step up on a ladder. After that, the kid is guided to put inside a decorated cock's cage to let him choose one from 7 choices the parents put inside. The last step is to bathe the kid with Sritaman flower. I am very proud of Indonesian culture that I held this ceremony for my boy. Please enjoy :)
