Hostess With The Mostess

I did this party for a sweet little boy turning one. The party venue was at a gorgeous park. To transform the park and give it a beach feeling, I used happy, bright, playful colors and beach umbrellas. Beach Buckets are ofcourse essential for a beach party. Each bucket held a pair of kiddie sunglasses, an inflatable beach ball, bubbles and a 'surfer style' rubber duckie. The birthday boy had four siblings so there was a wide age range of children attending the party. The lays and personalized beach ball cups were a big hit! I came up with the surfboard center piece one week before the party. I made it from one $10 sheet of plywood and some inexpensive paint from Michaels. Loved the end result!!
