Kirsten Blackard, of Signature Occasions weddings and events, planned a camping party for her son's 7th birthday.
Centerpieces- Brown tablecloths and flannel and burlap toppers were the base for rustic items, birch vases and even antlers all arranged in a chic casual setting. Over head, Blackard hung camping backpacks from camping rope to give a true "camping experience" for the children. The best part were the seats- individual stumps. You can get them from a local tree cutter, but they may charge a small fee for cutting them all to the same size and delivery.
Food-
S'mores sticks- marshmallows dipped in chocolate and graham cracker crumbs
Don't Feed the Bears- mini teddy grahams
Campfire Flames- Puffy cheetos and long pretzels sticks for the logs
Hot Dog Roast
Acorns- mini nilla wafers, hershey's kisses and held together with chocolate icing
Mud Pies- pudding, crushed oreos, and gummi worms in mason jars
Activities-
Painting Birdhouses
Scavenger Hunt
Obstacle Course
S'mores
Had planned a late night flashlight tag (but it started to rain...we had fun anyways!)
Favors-
Brown bags with tags "I had s'more fun since you were here" with a flashlight, water bottle, carabineer pack, and glo-sticks. They also got to take home their painted birdhouse too.
