This fall themed S'mores Bar was created for a country themed outdoor wedding in September. We used apothecary jars to display some of the components. We found a variety of flavored marshmallows and created a suggest recipe sign. Marshmallows could be toasted over the open fire on S'more skewers. We also made S'more mallow pops by dipping marshmallows in melted Hershey's dark chocolate chips and then dipping them in crushed graham crackers. Little did we know that theses too are perfect for toasting. During the reception guests found that heating a S'more pop over the fire toasted the marshmallow, but the chocolate coating stayed in tact. I may make these for my next camping trip!
There were about 80 guests we used the following quantities. There was plenty leftover, but we needed this much to fill the baskets...
2 Bags each of Toasted Coconut, Strawberry and Pumpkin Spice Marshmallows
4 Bags Plain Marshmallows (3 in basket 1 in Jar)
1 Box each of Chocolate and Cinnamon Graham Crackers
2 Boxes Honey Graham Crackers (1 1/2 for the basket and 1/2 for the jar)
3 Bags Fun size Andi''s Mints
3 Bags Find size Hershey's bars
1 very large bag peanut butter cups
About 50 mallow pops (1 bag of plain marshmallows, 1 bag of chocolate chips, 4-6 graham crackers)
We also used about 12 full size Hershey's bars for decor in one of the jars.
