Hostess With The Mostess

I created a Mermaid themed birthday party for my six year old daughter Sienna.

I started by purchasing her Mermaid birthday card (made by Papyrus), and this set in motion inspiration for the rest of the party.
I purchased and used printables created by Pixel Paper Prints (http://www.etsy.com/shop/pixelpaperprints)

All other edibles and creations were made by me, Giulia D'Anna of Baking Passion.

The desserts I created were:
Mermaid Main Cake: Extended tier Strawberry buttercake with white chocolate ganache
Ice-cream cake (Pink background): was not displayed at the dessert station, but consumed happily by the 6 year girls. The base was chocolate biscuit crumbs, with three layers of ice-cream (chocolate with choc chip, cookies and cream, with vanilla on top. The outside was Cadbury Dream white chocolate biscuits sticks).
Cake pops: Dark Chocolate Tim Tam Cake pops
Cookies: Decorated Oreo cookies covered with fondant and edible printed toppers
Cupcakes: Vegan Chocolate Cupcakes with Dutch chocolate Frosting, and edible printed Sugar Disc

Crepe Paper Garland: Central banner designed by me, using Pixel Paper Prints artwork. I made the tissue paper garland in mermaid colours, to imitate seaweed. It looked so lovely with the breeze coming in the window.
